Travel Social Worker in Spokane, WA

A Travel Social Worker Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will provide crisis-focused behavioral health support in an acute care hospital emergency unit on a 13-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The unit serves adults and pediatrics with mental health and substance use concerns, averages 7 patients, uses Epic, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Perform biopsychosocial, mental health, and crisis risk assessments
• Evaluate danger to self, danger to others, and grave disability concerns
• Provide crisis intervention for adults and pediatrics in the emergency unit
• Develop clinical assessment reports and level-of-care recommendations
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support care continuity
• Facilitate discharge planning, contingency planning, and referrals

• Washington independent clinical licensure as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• 3 years of experience conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics
• Epic charting system experience
• Strong behavioral health assessment, intervention, and care coordination skills

• Emergency department behavioral health experience
• Case management and care coordination
• Child and adult protective services experience
• Trauma-informed patient and family education and advocacy
