Travel SICU RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a hospital in Wichita, Kansas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 26 beds, typical ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 for higher-acuity patients, and uses Meditech. It cares for trauma and complex postoperative cardiac and surgical patients.

• Monitor and stabilize critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• Manage vasoactive drips and other complex infusions
• Assist with chest tubes, central lines and advanced support therapies
• Collaborate with the care team on rapid changes in condition
• Track hemodynamics, response to treatment and patient safety
• Document care in the electronic record

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIH and TNCC

• Experience traveling to large trauma facilities
