Travel SICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for adult surgical and trauma patients in a level 1 hospital on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit is a 15-bed ICU with 1:2 ratios and Epic charting.

• Monitor surgical and trauma critical care patients
• Manage ventilated patients and high-flow oxygen support
• Assist with arterial lines, central lines and PICC care
• Administer blood products and vasoactive infusions
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Perform phlebotomy and suctioning as needed

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of surgical intensive care experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with ventilated patients, arterial lines and vasoactive drips

• TNCC
• Trauma level I or II experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• EVD and ICP monitoring
