Travel SICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult surgical and trauma critical care patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit has 15 beds, uses Epic, and typically works with a 1:2 ratio that may change with acuity.

• Monitor critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• Manage ventilators, lines, drips, and blood products
• Assess neurologic, hemodynamic, and respiratory status
• Administer medications and support continuous sedation
• Interpret ABGs and cardiac rhythms
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending Virginia license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 1 year of Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, blood products, and vasoactive drips

• TNCC
• Chest tube assistance
• EVD and ICP monitoring
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
