Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a children's hospital on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit includes a Level IV NICU, PICU, and high-risk delivery support for infants and children across multidisciplinary care teams.

• Provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, and children in critical and acute care areas
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and newborn stabilization
• Manage ventilatory support, including HFNC, CPAP, and high-frequency ventilation
• Perform airway care such as suctioning, tracheostomy management, and extubation support
• Interpret ABGs and monitor patients with respiratory distress or complex congenital conditions
• Support interdepartmental neonatal transports and emergency response
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists in a multidisciplinary team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP
• Virginia state respiratory therapist license or temporary license eligibility with an active out-of-state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Competency with high-frequency ventilation and neonatal airway support

• Cardiac PICU experience
• ACCS
• PALS
