Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Blacksburg, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Blacksburg, Virginia. The unit supports ICU, CMU, medical-surgical, and emergency department patients with MEDITECH charting in a level 3 trauma, stroke-ready, Magnet hospital. The setting offers outdoor activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

• Assess respiratory status and respond to changes in patient condition
• Deliver oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and ventilator support
• Assist with airway management and pulmonary procedures
• Monitor blood gases, ventilator settings, and therapy response
• Document care and coordinate with the clinical team
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatment plans

• Virginia Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS and ACLS
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Strong assessment, ventilation, and airway management skills

• PALS
• NRP
