Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Spokane, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults in a short term acute care hospital in Spokane, Washington on a 13-week contract. The unit has 42 beds, an average daily census of 35, a 1:4 ratio, Epic charting, and a Level III trauma designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess adult patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurologic, and metabolic conditions
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, blood products, oxygen, and IV therapies
• Manage peripheral IVs, feeding tubes, and heparin protocols
• Support care for stroke, sepsis, DKA, chest pain, and withdrawal
• Coordinate with respiratory therapy, PT, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of progressive care or telemetry experience
• Epic charting experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV start, blood product, heparin protocol, oxygen therapy, and feeding tube skills

• NIHSS
• Central line, PICC, and chest tube management
• ABG interpretation and high flow nasal cannula
• Cardiac and insulin drip experience, PCA, seizure, and withdrawal care
