Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Seattle, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide cardiac stepdown care in a hospital in Seattle, Washington on a 13-week contract. The unit cares for adults and geriatrics with MI, heart failure, stroke with cardiac involvement, and pre and post open-heart and vascular surgery patients. Epic is used for charting.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Provide post open-heart and vascular surgery care with sternal precautions
• Manage chest tubes, surgical drains, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products, oxygen therapy, and noninvasive airway support
• Support patients with cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
• Assist with cardioversion, defibrillation, pacing support, and wound care

• Washington Registered Nurse license or compact license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• Surgical telemetry, open-heart, and vascular surgery experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel experience

• VAD and TAVR experience
• TR band and sheath removal experience
• Teaching or community hospital experience
