Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a surgical progressive care unit on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 32 beds, typically uses a 1:4 ratio that can reach 1:5, and documents in Meditech.

• Monitor telemetry and assess for changes in patient condition
• Provide care for post-op progressive care patients with complex respiratory and gastrointestinal needs
• Assist with tracheostomy, laryngectomy, chest tube, drain, and tube feed care
• Support admissions, documentation, and ongoing care coordination
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on daily treatment plans
• Reinforce hygiene, oral care, mobility, and infection prevention practices

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS/ALS certification
• Time management and critical thinking skills
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Progressive care unit experience
• Trach experience
