Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a cardiac progressive care hospital unit for a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 29 private rooms, uses Meditech, and typically manages telemetry patients with a 1:4 or 1:5 nurse ratio.

• Monitor telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry
• Assess cardiac and respiratory status
• Administer medications and support blood transfusions
• Start IV access and maintain line care
• Assist with midline and central line removals
• Care for high fall risk progressive care patients

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS
• BLS
• Telemetry experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• NIH Stroke Prepared status
• PALS certification
• ICU experience
• PCU or Tele experience
