Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Irving, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult step-down patients in an acute care hospital in Irving, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 11-bed unit uses Meditech, and typical ratios are 4:1 to 5:1 with telemetry monitoring.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Provide direct care for progressive care patients
• Administer and titrate ordered cardiac therapies
• Assist with para and thora procedures
• Coordinate care with charge nurse, techs and providers
• Document assessments and interventions in Meditech

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of RN experience in PCU
• Telemetry interpretation skills
• PCU level of care or higher experience

• Critical cardiac drips experience
• Hematoma management after sheath removal
