Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult cardiopulmonary patients in a hospital in Overland Park, Kansas on a 13-week contract. The 18-bed unit uses a 1:4-5 ratio, Meditech charting, and continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring. Patients include COPD, pneumonia, CHF, and trach cases.

• Monitor cardiac rhythm and respiratory status
• Provide oxygen therapy and ventilatory support
• Assess patients with COPD, pneumonia, CHF, and trach needs
• Complete frequent vital sign, glucose, and neurological checks
• Administer routine nursing interventions and medications
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe patient flow

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Cardiac and respiratory monitoring skills
