Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for telemetry and pulmonary step-down patients in an acute care hospital during a 13-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The 18-bed unit uses Meditech charting and supports patients with COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and trach needs.

• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status for hemodynamically stable step-down patients
• Provide oxygen therapy support, including nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, and AirVo
• Assess neurological status and complete NIHSS monitoring as indicated
• Administer medications and manage routine patient care needs
• Track vital signs, blood glucose, and other changes in condition
• Collaborate with PCTs and the unit secretary to support daily care

• Current Registered Nurse license in Kansas
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Telemetry and pulmonary step-down nursing skills
