Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a neuro stepdown hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Nashville, Tennessee. The unit has 30 beds across acute care and stepdown care, uses Meditech, and cares for stroke patients and patients needing ventilatory support and cardiac drips. This unit is a good setting for nurses growing toward ICU care.

• Monitor neuro stepdown and acute care patients
• Manage oxygen support, trachs, BiPAP, and titrated cardiac drips
• Assist with stroke care and chest tube management
• Support lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
• Document care in Meditech and participate in bedside shift report
• Communicate with the charge nurse, techs, and unit secretary

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Acute care nursing skills
• Strong time management skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
