Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for adults and geriatrics in a short term acute care hospital for a 13 week contract in Olympia, Washington. The unit sees PCU, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients, with Epic charting and a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on acuity.

• Monitor and respond to telemetry changes, dysrhythmias, and cardiac drips
• Administer and manage oxygen therapy, noninvasive airway support, and ventilated patient care
• Provide care for central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and blood products
• Support patients with renal failure, seizures, CVA, and other higher-acuity conditions
• Perform tracheostomy, feeding tube, and chest tube care as needed
• Coordinate care and assist with charge duties on smaller units
• Use rapid response and code team resources when patient status changes

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• 3 years of US acute care nursing experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Experience with adult and geriatric PCU, step-down, telemetry, or medical-surgical patients
• Experience managing a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio

• ACLS and NIHSS
• Cardiac, neuro, and post-procedure care experience
• Wound care, insulin protocols, and advanced monitoring skills
