Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a short term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Olympia, Washington. The role serves adult and geriatric patients in PCU, med surg, and telemetry areas, with Epic charting and ratios of 1:4-6.

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients across progressive care, telemetry, and medical-surgical areas
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias and rapid response needs
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICC lines, and feeding tubes
• Support patients on BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, oxygen therapy, and tracheostomy care
• Administer blood products and follow heparin protocols
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other support services
• Take charge duties on small units when assigned

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• 3 years of United States progressive care, stepdown, telemetry, or medical-surgical experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rhythm management skills
• IV insertion, central line, PICC line, and feeding tube care skills
• Cardiac drip titration and vasoactive drip management

• ACLS and NIHSS
• Post cardiac, trauma, and neuro care experience
• Wound care, CBI, and surgical drain experience
• IV insulin protocols and pacemaker experience
