Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Hills, California. The unit has 34 beds, 1:3 ratios, Epic charting, and Magnet designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide care for adult and geriatric progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry, dysrhythmias, and respiratory status
• Assist with ventilator, tracheostomy, chest tube, and airway support
• Administer blood products, IV therapy, and cardiac or vasoactive drips without titration
• Support patients with sepsis, MI, stroke, trauma, and covid
• Respond to rapid response and code events

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Los Angeles City Fire Card certifications
• 1 year of nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Telemetry, IV access, ventilator support, and dysrhythmia management skills

• IV insulin protocols
• PCA and post-MI care
• Surgical drains and wound care, including wound vac
