Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for neuro telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit serves stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring and neurosurgical patients, uses EPIC, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Monitor telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
• Caring for stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring and neurosurgical patients
• Administer blood products and maintain central and peripheral lines
• Support cardiac, insulin, heparin and vasoactive drips as ordered
• Assist with oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway support and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary staff

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of PCU, DOU, IMC or Stepdown experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Central and peripheral line care, blood product administration and drip management
• Any charting system experience

• Teaching hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
• Level II trauma center experience
