Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Independence, MO

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Independence, Missouri. The 36-bed unit uses Meditech and typical ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5. The hospital holds Level 2 trauma, stroke and STEMI accreditation.

• Assess and monitor progressive care patients with complex needs
• Manage vasoactive drips and respond to changes in condition
• Support BiPAP and heated high-flow nasal cannula therapy
• Assist with central line, PICC line and chest tube procedures
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the chart
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Active Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience managing vasoactive drips
