Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult cardiac stepdown patients in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Virginia. The unit serves post-cardiac surgery patients after ICU, uses Epic charting, and has 21 rooms. Ratios are 4:1.

• Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
• Care for post-cardiac surgery and post-MI patients
• Manage chest tubes, central lines, and peripheral IV access
• Administer oxygen support, IV drips, and insulin protocols
• Support ventilated, tracheostomy, and non-invasive airway care
• Perform wound care and assist with procedural sedation monitoring

• Active Virginia or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and chest tube experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience

• Cardiac drip titration
• Vasoactive drip titration
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
