Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for cardiac step-down patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The 15-bed unit cares for post-cath, post-surgical, and monitored cardiac patients and uses Meditech.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status
• Administer cardiac drips and ordered therapies
• Manage chest tubes, epidurals, and PCA care
• Care for post-cath and post-surgical patients
• Support telemetry monitoring for progressive care patients
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Progressive care unit experience
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients
• Chest tube management and epidural care

• Team-oriented communication
• Time management in a high-turnover unit
