Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult cardiac stepdown patients in a hospital in Arlington, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The 21-bed unit uses Epic and serves post-cardiac surgery adults with telemetry needs and dysrhythmias.

• Monitor cardiac stepdown patients and report changes
• Manage telemetry and identify dysrhythmias
• Support chest tube care and post-cardiac surgery recovery
• Assist with IV drips, lines and blood products
• Provide ventilator, oxygen and airway support as ordered
• Collaborate with rapid response and interdisciplinary teams

• Active Virginia or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management skills
• Chest tube, central line and IV drip support skills

• Cardiac drip titration
• Vasoactive drip titration
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
