Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Virginia

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a progressive surgical unit in Richmond, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The 12-bed unit uses Meditech, serves post-surgical and medical overflow patients, and maintains a 4:1 ratio.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, including narcotics, as ordered
• Provide care for post-surgical and medical overflow patients
• Support central line, drain, Foley, PCA, epidural, and wound care management
• Assist with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip therapy
• Complete routine assessments and report significant findings promptly

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration, including narcotics

• Stepdown experience
• Post-surgical care experience
