Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Englewood, CO

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for high-acuity cardiac patients in a 13-week acute care hospital contract in Englewood, Colorado. The 30-bed unit uses Meditech and manages post-cath, thoracic surgery, open-heart, and vascular surgery patients at 1:4 to 1:5 ratios.

• Monitor telemetry and assess progressive care patients
• Manage cardiac drips and support protocol-based therapy
• Assist with post-cath, thoracic surgery, and open-heart recovery
• Perform neurovascular checks and document patient changes
• Support chest tube, oxygen, and noninvasive ventilation care
• Coordinate care with charge nurses, PCTs, and the cardiac team

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH stroke scale certification
• 1 year current acute care PCU hospital experience

• Chest tube management and removal
• Pacer wire removal and 12 lead EKGs
• Oxygen management with BIPAP and heated high flow
• Cardiac drip management for heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine
