Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Englewood, CO

An Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a high-acuity cardiac progressive care unit in Englewood, Colorado on a 13-week contract. The 30-bed unit typically runs 1:4 and often 1:5, and uses Meditech charting. Patients are complex post procedure and post surgical cardiac cases in a fast paced setting.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
• Administer ordered infusions and other therapies
• Provide post cath and post surgical recovery care
• Perform neurovascular and respiratory assessments
• Manage chest tubes, pacers, and related devices
• Collaborate with the care team on complex cardiac cases

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1-year current acute care progressive care unit hospital experience
• Progressive care telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program

• Chest tube management and removal
• Pacer wire removal and 12-lead EKGs
• Oxygen management up to BiPAP and heated high-flow
• Experience with heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine drips
