Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Englewood, CO

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a high-acuity cardiac unit at an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Englewood, Colorado. The 30-bed unit uses Meditech and cares for post-cath, thoracic surgery, open-heart, and vascular surgery patients.

• Monitor telemetry and patient status in a progressive care setting
• Manage chest tubes, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high-flow support as assigned
• Assist with post-cath recovery, TR band management, and neurovascular checks
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for thoracic, open-heart, and vascular surgery patients
• Administer and titrate ordered IV therapies and cardiac drips
• Document assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of current PCU hospital experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification

• Chest tube management and removal
• Pacer wire removal and 12 lead EKGs
• Oxygen management with BiPAP and heated high flow
• Cardiac drip management with heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine
