Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Aurora, CO

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for progressive care patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Aurora, Colorado. The unit serves a large cardiac population, uses Meditech charting, and has 1:5 ratios. It supports adults with acute and chronic medical needs in a Magnet-designated setting.

• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient status
• Assess complex cardiac and medical conditions throughout each shift
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the record
• Educate patients and families about recovery and symptom management

• Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• 1 year of current acute care PCU experience
• Strong cardiac monitoring and progressive care nursing skills

• Meditech charting experience
• Chemotherapy certification
