Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide stepdown care for cardiovascular and vascular patients in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit serves open heart, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients with overflow cardiology cases, has 40 beds, a 1:5 ratio, and uses Cerner.

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms
• Manage cardiac drips and titratable infusions
• Provide stepdown assessments and ongoing patient surveillance
• Assist with chest tube, epidural, and tube feeding care
• Administer medications and support IV therapy
• Document care and communicate changes with the care team

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Stepdown experience
• Telemetry experience

• Recent CV surgery and vascular surgery experience within 1 year
• CVICU experience
