Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for cardiac step-down patients in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 40 beds, uses Cerner, and serves patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and post cardiac cath or pacing needs. Typical ratios are 1:4.

• Monitor telemetry and assess cardiac step-down patients
• Administer titratable cardiac IV medications and insulin infusions
• Respond to rhythm changes and collaborate on care plans
• Assist with bedside cardioversion and other unit procedures
• Track patient status and document care in Cerner
• Support safe use of pumps, lift equipment, and bladder scanning

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• Titratable or cardiac IV medication skills

• Prostacyclin infusion experience
• Relief charge experience
