Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will support a clinical decision unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 40-bed hospital unit uses Cerner, serves a wide variety of diagnoses, and runs at 1:5 to 1:6 ratios.

• Complete admission assessments and medication reconciliation
• Initiate acute care orders and support throughput from the ED
• Monitor patients with a wide range of diagnoses
• Document care in Cerner and communicate changes promptly
• Provide safe, team-based care in a fast-paced unit
• Assist with minimal bedside procedures as needed

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Recent Progressive Care Unit nursing experience
• MedSurg and telemetry clinical skills

• 2 years of recent MedSurg, telemetry, and Step-Down experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Background in quick-turnover clinical decision units
