Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for high-acuity stepdown patients in a hospital unit in Anchorage, Alaska on a 13-week contract. The 19-bed unit uses EPIC and maintains a 1:3 ratio.

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms
• Administer and titrate IV medications and drips
• Manage trachs, BiPAP, oxygen support and feeding tubes
• Complete assessments, intake and output, and safety rounds
• Support emergent cardioversion and rapid-response care
• Coordinate bedside handoff and team communication

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• 1 year of step-down ICU, IMC or PCU experience
• 1 year of telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience

• Trach care with continuous BiPAP or ventilatory support
• Experience with titratable vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips
• CIWA assessment and withdrawal care
