Travel Pre-Op RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Pre-Op Registered Nurse will support preoperative and phase 2 recovery care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit uses Meditech and serves surgical, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, CT, infusion, EKG, block, and transfusion patients. Patient care is commonly managed at a 1:3 ratio.

• Prepare patients for surgery and procedural care
• Monitor preoperative and phase 2 recovery patients
• Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and comfort measures
• Coordinate care with providers and the surgical team
• Support patients receiving outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and transfusions
• Document care in the electronic medical record

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• 1-year current acute care Registered Nurse experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Pre-op experience
• Meditech experience
