Travel PICU RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill children in a hospital PICU on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The 15-bed level II trauma unit uses Meditech and CPN and maintains 2:1 ratios. It is a teaching hospital with intensivist, RN, RT, case management, and dietary support.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and support ICU therapies as directed
• Assist with IV starts, blood draws, and other bedside procedures
• Coordinate care with intensivists, RT, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart
• Support families and maintain a calm, safe ICU environment

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1 year of current hospital PICU Registered Nurse experience

• CRRT experience
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience
• APHON experience
