Travel PICU RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for pediatric patients in a hospital PICU on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit is a 15-bed Level II trauma PICU with a 2:1 patient ratio. Charting uses Meditech and CPN in a teaching hospital.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients and report changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other ordered treatments
• Assist with IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and support staff
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the chart
• Support family-centered care in a high-acuity pediatric setting

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS certification
• 1-year current hospital PICU Registered Nurse experience

• CRRT experience
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience
• Pediatric hematology-oncology nursing experience
