Travel PICU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for mixed PICU and pediatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The combined unit has 19 beds, a 4 to 7 daily census, Cerner charting, and Magnet designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill infants, children, and adolescents
• Assist with ventilator, airway, and sedation care
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and prescribed therapies
• Support procedures such as lumbar puncture, intubation, chest tube care, and EVD management
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia assessment
• Provide isolation precautions and infection control support
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Alaska Registered Nurse license, compact or multistate license accepted before start
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Critical care assessment and medication administration skills

• Chemotherapy administration experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Charting system experience
