Travel PICU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill pediatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit has a mixed pediatric and PICU census, uses Cerner, and has a Magnet designation. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor pediatric critical care patients
• Administer medications and blood products
• Manage ventilator support and airway care
• Support invasive monitoring and sedation care
• Coordinate treatment with interdisciplinary teams
• Document care and patient response in Cerner

• Alaska Registered Nurse license, with compact license accepted at signing and Alaska license required before start
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Pediatric dosage calculations and critical care nursing skills

• Cerner experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level II trauma experience
