Travel PICU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill pediatric patients in a hospital PICU on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit serves neonates through adolescents, has 19 beds, uses Cerner, and is part of a Magnet acute care hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor pediatric patients with changing acuity
• Assist with ventilators, airway care, and respiratory support
• Administer medications, blood products, and TPN/lipids
• Perform hemodynamic, neurologic, and seizure monitoring
• Support intubation, sedation, lumbar puncture, and chest tube care
• Manage central lines, IV access, tubes, and catheters
• Provide wound care and infection precautions

• Alaska Registered Nurse license, with compact license accepted while Alaska application is in progress
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Pediatric dosage calculations and pediatric critical care skills

• Chemotherapy administration
• Charge nurse, teaching hospital, and Trauma Level II experience
• Cerner experience
