Travel PICU RN in South Carolina

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care support in a pediatric intensive care unit during a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The assignment has 1:2 to 1:3 ratios and cares for complex pediatric patients.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients
• Manage ventilated patients and acute airway support
• Administer IV vasopressors, sedation, and anti-seizure medications
• Perform central line, PICC, and implanted line care
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Assist with chest tube management and ICP monitoring
• Apply infection control and isolation precautions

• Active South Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS certification
• 2 years of pediatric ICU experience
• PICU charting system experience
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Ventilated patient care, acute airway care, BiPAP/CPAP management, continuous sedation, central line care, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV vasopressors, chest tube care, ICP monitoring, and PPE use

• ECMO experience
• CRRT experience
