Travel PICU RN in South Carolina

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide care in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves high-acuity pediatric patients with 1:2 and 1:3 ratios and access to respiratory therapy, IV support, pharmacy, radiology, social work, and rapid response resources. First-time travelers with the needed experience are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill children and respond to changing conditions
• Manage ventilator support, BiPAP/CPAP, and acute airway care
• Administer sedation, vasopressors, and seizure medications
• Provide central line, PICC line, and chest tube care
• Interpret ABGs and cardiac rhythms
• Support infection control and isolation precautions
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy and other support teams

• South Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of pediatric ICU experience
• Experience with ventilated patients, central line and PICC line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Charting system experience
