Travel Physical Therapist in Walla Walla, WA

A Travel Physical Therapist will support adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Walla Walla, Washington. The setting is a short-term acute care, Level III trauma center with Epic charting, an average census of 10 patients a day, and a broad mix of orthopedic, trauma, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary cases.

• Evaluate patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional status
• Develop and update individualized plans of care
• Provide gait training, transfer training, and therapeutic exercise
• Instruct patients and families on safety, home exercise, and mobility techniques
• Monitor tolerance to activity, pain, and vital signs during treatment
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, progress, and discharge planning in Epic

• Washington Physical Therapist license
• BLS
• 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Experience with adolescent patients
• Rehabilitation hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
• Emergency department experience
