Travel Physical Therapist in Chewelah, WA

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide inpatient acute care therapy in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Chewelah, Washington. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with lower acuity diagnoses, and Epic charting is used. The setting is rural with a small therapy team.

• Evaluate mobility, balance, strength, and safety needs
• Plan and deliver treatment for deconditioning, post-op recovery, and chronic illness
• Train patients in transfers, gait, stairs, and use of assistive devices
• Monitor vital signs, pain, skin integrity, and tolerance to activity
• Coordinate discharge planning and home exercise education
• Support safe patient handling with lifts and mobility equipment

• Washington Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience

• Epic charting system experience
• Inpatient rehabilitation and geriatric care experience
• Neurologic, orthopedic, and post-op mobility training experience
