Travel Physical Therapist in Chewelah, WA

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide acute care and outpatient rehabilitation services in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract in Chewelah, Washington. The role covers lower-acuity inpatient and outpatient patients in a critical access hospital, with an average daily census of 5, ratios of 1:5-10, and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess mobility, strength, balance, and functional status
• Develop and update plans of care and short-term goals
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, and transfer support
• Use assistive devices and mobility aids to improve safety and independence
• Monitor vital signs, pain, skin integrity, and patient tolerance
• Document evaluations, progress, and discharge needs in the chart

• Washington Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program
• Patient assessment, AROM, AAROM, PROM, gait training, assistive device use, vital sign monitoring, and strength testing

• Epic charting system experience
• Orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience
• Assistive device, lift, and mobility aid experience
• Balance, stroke, and outpatient rehabilitation experience
