Travel Physical Therapist in Chewelah, WA

A Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist will provide inpatient rehabilitation in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Chewelah, Washington. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with a census of about 5, patient loads of 1:5-10, and Epic charting. The caseload includes deconditioning, weakness, impaired mobility, COPD, CHF, and post-op recovery.

• Evaluate and treat inpatients with mobility and balance deficits
• Plan and deliver therapeutic exercise, gait training, and transfer practice
• Assist with adaptive equipment and safe use of mobility devices
• Monitor vital signs, pain, skin integrity, and patient tolerance
• Educate patients and families on recovery goals and home exercise plans
• Coordinate care and discharge planning with the therapy team

• Washington Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of acute care experience
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program
• Core assessment, evaluation, and plan-of-care skills

• Epic charting system experience
• Geriatric and orthopedic rehabilitation experience
• Post-op recovery experience with spine, joint, and fracture cases
