Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will support medication therapy in a hospital pharmacy on a 24 week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The role serves trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients and uses Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe.

• Review and verify medication orders
• Prepare and compound IV medications as needed
• Support complex dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, renal function, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, electrolyte protocols, and DOAC therapy
• Collaborate with nursing and providers on medication therapy
• Monitor drug safety and therapy appropriateness
• Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy systems

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience
• Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe
• Strong IV verification and medication verification skills
