Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy support in a hospital in Richmond, Virginia on a 24-week contract. The role supports complex patients in trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO care, with Meditech Expanse and dosing support tools.

• Verify medication orders and dosing for hospitalized patients
• Support IV verification and medication verification workflows
• Compound IV medications as needed
• Apply dosing expertise for renal, vancomycin AUC, aminoglycoside, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, electrolyte, and DOAC protocols
• Use Meditech Expanse, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis in daily workflow
• Collaborate with care teams on medication safety and complex therapy management

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Hospital experience over 2 years
• Meditech Expanse, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis experience
• Clinical dosing experience with vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, electrolytes, and DOACs
