Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will support medication verification and IV compounding in a hospital pharmacy in Richmond, Virginia on a 24-week contract. The unit serves trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients, and uses Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis.

• Verify medication orders and IV therapies
• Prepare IV compounds as needed
• Support vancomycin AUC, aminoglycoside, renal, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOAC dosing
• Review electrolyte protocol and anticoagulation therapy
• Use medication systems to process and track orders
• Collaborate with the care team on medication safety

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Hospital pharmacy experience over 2 years
• IV verification and IV compounding experience
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis
• Clinical dosing experience with vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, and anticoagulation
