Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist Licensed Pharmacist will provide medication order review, dosing, and dispensing in a hospital pharmacy on a 24-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The role supports complex trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, and cardiac surgery patients and uses Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe.

• Review medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Verify IV therapies and medication preparations
• Compound IV medications as needed
• Apply dosing guidance for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, renal function, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolytes, heparin, and DOACs
• Use pharmacy systems for dispensing, verification, and documentation
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff on complex patient care

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• More than 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience
• Experience with complex trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, and cardiac surgery patients
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe
• Advanced dosing knowledge in vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, and DOACs
