Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist Registered Pharmacist will support medication therapy in a hospital pharmacy in Richmond, Virginia on a 24-week contract. The role serves trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery and ECMO patients and uses Meditech Magic, Dose Edge, Vigilanz and Pyxis. The setting is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 1 Burn Center and Primary Stroke Center.

• Verify medication orders for safety and accuracy
• Compound IV medications as needed
• Support vancomycin, aminoglycoside and renal dosing
• Review anticoagulation and electrolyte protocols
• Assist with medication verification and IV verification
• Collaborate with the care team on medication therapy

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• More than 2 years of hospital experience
• Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program
• Clinical dosing, IV verification and IV compounding skills
