Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will provide medication verification and IV pharmacy support in a hospital pharmacy on a 24-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The role supports complex trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients using Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 safe.

• Verify medication orders and IV preparations
• Support IV compounding as needed
• Apply vancomycin AUC dosing and other pharmacokinetic dosing
• Manage aminoglycoside, renal, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOAC dosing support
• Use electrolyte protocols to guide pharmacy interventions
• Coordinate with pharmacists, techs, and nursing staff on medication safety

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• More than 2 years of hospital experience
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 safe
• Vancomycin AUC dosing, aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, DOAC, and electrolyte protocol experience
