Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will support medication verification, IV verification, and IV compounding in a hospital pharmacy on a 24-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The unit serves complex trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients and uses Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis.

• Verify medication orders and IV therapy
• Assist with IV compounding as needed
• Review dosing for vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal adjustment, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, DOACs, and electrolyte protocols
• Use Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis in daily workflow
• Support safe pharmacy operations for complex hospital patients
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and unit staff

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• More than 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis
• Experience with medication verification, IV verification, and IV compounding
• Clinical dosing experience with vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, DOACs, and electrolyte protocols
