Travel Pharmacist in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pharmacist will support medication management in a hospital pharmacy on a 24-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The role serves complex trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients and uses Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis.

• Verify medication orders and IV therapy
• Compound and dispense intravenous medications as needed
• Review dosing for vancomycin AUC, aminoglycosides, renal function, warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOACs
• Assist with medication management for trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, cardiac surgery, and ECMO patients
• Document and monitor medication workflows in pharmacy systems
• Collaborate with providers and nursing staff on safe therapy selection and adjustments

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• More than 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience
• Experience with IV verification, medication verification, and intravenous compounding
• Experience with Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis
